Abstract

This article is the product of a research that aimed to evaluate the pedagogical, organizational and contextual dimensions of Initial Teacher Training at the UPC, in order to propose an improvement plan aimed at educational quality and the professional development of future teachers. It determined that the contextualization of the space where the training is developed, aligned with the Bachelor's degree programs and the theoretical framework, links initial teacher training with previous related programs in Colombia. The research, with a quantitative approach and cross-sectional application, validates the evaluation through a significant sample of students. The data are captured using three instruments—surveys, tests, and rubrics—and contrasted with a model of initial training for teachers in basic and secondary education.
