Abstract

Reproductive behaviour is governed by complex biological, cultural and psychological relations, hence reproductive health and rights must be understood within the context of relationships between men and women, communities and societies. This paper encompasses with these problems which concerned about the reproductive health and rights of the women. This paper also laid stress on the impact of men’s action over the reproductive health and rights of the women and the key initiatives to deliver reproductive rights and services to the women.

As the advancement of women and the achievement of equality between women and men is a matter of human rights. This is a basic condition for social justice, and should not be seen in isolation as just a women’s issue. However, the gender divide remains both at home and society in its various forms prevents many women from obtaining proper education, health care and economic independence and legal status also. The deprivation and denial of rights resulted in poor literacy among the women. Reproduction is a fundamental, life-changing experience for the vast majority of humanity. There is a need to involve men in the responsibility of reproductive health and fertility control and sexual education should be given to adolescents and adults.     

Human health is a critical aspect of human development. So the rights of women along with those of men have been recognized in major human rights instruments. Every right that helps women to become full-fledged human being is her human right and denial of such of any rights amounts to violation of women human rights. Rapid advancements in medical technologies in recent years have opened the road to wide-ranging interventions in the sphere of reproduction.
