Two nanocomposites were produced by the sol-gel method: ZnO/ SnO2 and SnO2/Al2O3. Both nanocomposites' optical and structural characteristics are described in detail in the study. In this study, two semiconductors (ZnO- SnO2) and one insulator-semiconductor (SnO2/Al2O3) are examined. The Miller indices of the ZnO- SnO2 and SnO2/Al2O3 nanocomposites were used to determine their particle sizes through powder XRD analysis. Using photoluminescence, optical properties were investigated. It was used to calculate the absorbance band and band gap energy of nanocomposites. Model pollutants such as methylene blue were used to assess the photocatalytic activity of ZnO- SnO2 and SnO2/Al2O3 photocatalysts under UV light. There are many uses for nanocomposites in the biomedical industry. Both NCs' antimicrobial activity was investigated.
