The study examines the convergence of macroeconomics and Islamic banking through a bibliometric analysis to delineate scholarly trends, collaborations, and research deficiencies. The analysis utilizes 543 publications from 2016 to May 2025 obtained from the Dimensions database to investigate co-authorship patterns, thematic clusters, and source-level influence using VOSviewer software. The findings indicate an increasing scholarly interest in the subject, especially in Southeast Asia, with Malaysia and Indonesia identified as significant contributors. International journals exert dominant worldwide influence, while national journals facilitate thematic diversification. The research delineates three primary clusters: financial stability, banking efficiency, and regional macroeconomic settings. Moreover, it emphasizes the significance of bibliographic coupling in revealing intellectual frameworks and neglected domains, including cross-regional collaboration, Islamic fintech, and value-oriented socioeconomic concerns. The findings point to enhanced global integration, interdisciplinary methodologies, and more study on ethical finance and digital transformation within Islamic economics.
