The adoption of bank-owned UPI (Unified Payments Interface) services has gained significant momentum in India, transforming the digital payments landscape. This study explores the awareness and usage patterns of bank-owned UPI services among consumers in Coimbatore City, focusing on the relationship between demographic factors (age, occupation, income) and UPI adoption through correlation analysis. Additionally, it examines the impact of convenience, security, trust, and incentives on the frequency of UPI usage using regression analysis. A structured survey was conducted among 117 respondents, and the data was analyzed using simple percentage, correlation, and regression techniques. The findings suggest that younger individuals and higher-income groups are more likely to adopt bank-owned UPI services, while convenience and security are the strongest predictors of frequent usage. Although incentives play a role in adoption, their impact on long-term engagement is relatively lower. The study highlights the need for banks to enhance digital transaction security, improve user experience, and implement personalized incentive strategies to drive sustained adoption. These insights are valuable for financial institutions and policymakers seeking to promote secure and efficient digital payment solutions.
