This study examines the influence of job stress on job satisfaction, staff morale, and job performance in the Indian banking sector, based on the conservation of resources theory. Job stress is widely acknowledged as a crucial determinant affecting employee attitudes and behaviours in high-pressure settings. A sample of 600 banking employees was utilized to collect data using a standardized questionnaire, which was subsequently analysed through AMOS 22 to investigate the proposed hypothesis. The findings indicate that occupational stress adversely impacts job satisfaction, employee morale, and job performance, underscoring the necessity of stress management to sustain a productive and motivated workforce. The findings underscore the necessity for employers to establish stress management programs, cultivate supportive work cultures, and encourage work-life balance to alleviate the detrimental impacts of stress on employees. This research enhances the current literature by utilizing conservation of resources theoryto analyze job stress dynamics within the banking sector and offers practical recommendations for enhancing employee well-being and organizational performance.
