Abstract

In the context of deepening globalization and the increasing inevitability of cultural integration among nations, identifying the intersections between world cultures holds not only theoretical significance but also profound practical value. This study aims to analyze the processes of cultural contact, acculturation, and integration from the perspective of Vietnamese culture and identity marked by its remarkable capacity for absorption, selection, and self-adjustment. Grounded in the theoretical framework of cultural structure (including surface and deep layers), the article clarifies the interplay between endogenous and exogenous factors, thereby explaining how Vietnamese culture adapts to external influences while maintaining its national identity. Vietnamese culture continuously transforms through intercultural exchange, yet steadfastly preserves its core values, contributing to the formation of a cultural model that is both modern and deeply rooted in tradition, fulfilling the demands of sustainable development in the contemporary era.
