Abstract

Data-driven systems find their place in agriculture in view of changing times. The following research paper focuses on the development of an integrated agricultural system that would help farmers in deciding on crop cultivation, fertilization, and use of equipment. The system shall recommend the suitable crops to be grown for particular areas using current weather, type of soil, and best agricultural practices of a specific region. It helps them to select the best crop to be cultivated in their specific local conditions to have maximum yields. It goes further to give very specific fertilizer recommendations, types, brands, and amount needed at different stages of the crop cycle, based on prevailing weather and soil conditions. It therefore makes the following comments with the same view: The system offers a very effective fertilization management system by minimizing waste and reducing impact on the environment, while improving crop results. The system also carries a market analysis tool providing current prices for various seeds of crops in real time, along with their historical price trends in graphical representation. With such information, farmers will be better positioned to take cost-effective decisions about buying seeds and preparing crops. It will also offer recommendations on the best agricultural machinery and equipment that suit the chosen crops and methods. Generally, this agricultural system shall serve as an integrated approach for crop selection, fertilizer application management, market analysis, and equipment recommendation. It shall be designed in a way to assist farmers in improving productivity, sustainability, and profitability in agriculture.
