Abstract

SLN will be an alternative drug delivery system for poorly water-soluble drugs Efinaconazole to enhance the bioavailability and therapeutic response of drug. The poorly water-soluble drugs Efinaconazole was successfully incorporated into SLN by the hot homogenization and sonication process. The in-vitro test confirmed the drug retention and prolonged the drug dissolution with slow release. Drug release from the SLN was highly influenced by the type and concentration of lipid and surfactant. Based on the in vitro and in vivo results, it was observed that SLN incorporated in combination of Efinaconazole with palmitic acid (A5andA6) was physiologically safe and also exhibited sustained release until 12 hours. The selected formulation of Efinaconazole (EF1-EF8) which was formulated using Palmitic acid and Tween-80 newline.
