Abstract

Present study evaluates 5 species of the family Loranthaceae under 4 genera and 1 species of Santalaceae under single genus within the area of Doboka, Hawaipur and Komorakata Reserve Forests of Hojai District. For taxonomic enumeration, description, photographs, distribution, habitat, host plants etc. are recorded. Geographical locations of collected specimens are provided along with the description. Taxonomic key of the genera and species is prepared among the recorded species. Study of flowering plants in this area is very less and study of parasitic plants in this area is not done earlier.
