Mosquito remained as an important vector of different infectious diseases of viral or bacterial pathogens. Reliable identification and epidemiological investigation may require trustworthy tools with complementary information for their surveillance. Since only a handful of mosquito species play an important role in disease transmission precise mosquito identification and monitoring is essential for risk assessment and implementation of preventative strategies. The control of mosquito at larval stage is necessary and efficient in integrated pest management of mosquitoes. In particular, we focussed on the concept of larvicidal and ovicidal activity of Neustanthus phaseolodies and Hevea brasiliensis parts collected from the ovitrap with mosquito larvae to monitor the growth of mosquito population as these are generally more bio-degradable, less hazardous and rich storehouse of chemicals of diverse biological activity.
