This study aimed to validate a cross-cultural measurement tool for assessing job-seeking behavior among Chinese vocational college students. Using a quantitative cross-sectional design, 512 graduating students from three Guangxi colleges completed a Wenjuanxing survey. Developed based on SDT and TPB, the scale included three core dimensions: psychological needs, social cognitive variables, and job-seeking behaviors. Content validity was examined through expert review and a pilot study, while reliability was assessed via Cronbach’s α and Composite Reliability (CR). Structural validity was tested using KMO and Bartlett’s tests, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and Average Variance Extracted (AVE). The results showed strong psychometric properties, with overall Cronbach’s α of 0.874, all subscales exceeding 0.80, and KMO of 0.948, confirming the tool’s applicability and robustness.
