Abstract

The fourth industrial revolution has brought about various changes and issues for large industries, indicating that they must contemplate significant investment to adjust to Industry 4.0. Conversely, this is not an issue for small entrepreneurs, who could gain advantages from lean practices and affordable technology. The paper examines how these small business owners can utilise the Industry 4.0 framework by adopting a “light smart factory” model.
