Tinnitus, a subjective perception of ringing or buzzing in the ears without external sound, is a widespread clinical problem affecting 10–15% of the global population1,2. Persistent tinnitus interferes with daily functioning and often leads to insomnia, irritability, and reduced concentration. Modern therapies, including pharmacological agents and sound therapy, offer only partial relief3,4. Ayurveda correlates tinnitus with Karna Nada, a disorder arising mainly from vitiated Vata dosha obstructing the auditory pathway5,6. This case report evaluates the efficacy of Sarshap Tail Karnapooran (ear instillation of mustard oil) with Goghrita Paan (oral intake of cow’s ghee) in a middle-aged patient with chronic tinnitus. Significant subjective and objective improvements were observed.
