Do Talent And Career Management As The Influencer Of Employee Professionalism? A Study Of Conceptual Effect At Police Human Resources Department

This study aims for investigating the impact of talent management and career development to an employee professionalism. Based on the pre-research found that SSDM POLRI has a professionalism index of 78.75%; it is still in the moderate category and needs to be improved (https://polri.go.id/2024; Regulation BKN Nomor 6 Tahun 2022). Only 30% of The Personnels who were placed in roles match with their talent and 43.33% has suited their expertise with the current field of duty. There are 11% only Personnels who join the Specialization Development Education in POLRI indicates that less of them are intent to be specialized in their work career or being professional. This research approach is quantitative using a survey method. Data analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). Research shows talent management positively impacts employee professionalism, while career development does not. Findings suggest the need for better talent management and career development practices to enhance professionalism in POLRI.
