Abstract

This paper highlighted the multi-dimensional energy poverty index (MEPI) in Kokrajhar district of Asssam. It analysed the factors that affect the MEPI. A total of 100 households are selected randomly, considering both rural and urban. It was found that 46 per cent of households are multidimensional energy poor. The monthly income, kutcha house and urban is only statistically significant that determined the energy poverty.
